update on day 65

Hi all, I’m still here, and glad for the gentle nudge to get on the blog. It’s been a busy couple of weeks. Still on track with exercise and diet is still mostly there or there about. When I see AMAYW it does change the mindset and makes it easier to snack at an all day work event (this weekend) and then you graze at other naughtiness... is there an indulgence #3? If so, I got ahead of myself!

Beginning to see some definition I’ve not seen in a while which is vet gratifying! I have been receiving complements saying I look younger and oddly more tanned... perhaps I was pastey before ... does the diet change your skin colour?!

I’m looking forward to the finish now... and wondering how I can maintain this fitness and physique with a more normal diet and a little less strict exercise... is that possible???!!! ;)

Diet changing your skin color, that's a new one! haha. But definitely seeing some change sin your photos Alex, and glad you are getting that positive reinforcement from others as well. That's awesome! Well done.

It's definitely doable to maintain while being less strict. If you stick to 3 workouts a week. You know, good hard workouts, no holding back. And a diet that's 80% on point you should be able to maintain fairly easily. My sweet spot is shooting for 5 workouts so on a good week I make progress, on a bad week I maintain.

The key is still living by the principle that overall patterns lead to results. So a maintenance diet that might be a little lax, doesn't mean be a little lax every day. It means most days you keep things on point, stick to the habits and clean eating. So then your occasional, even a couple weekly, special indulgences or off meals won't derail you. Heck, if you are mostly keeping things on point, even a week long blow out on vacation will only do so much damage. As long as you reset and get back into routine right away. Keep that overall daily pattern, but be more relaxed for a fuller and less strict social life and you will do fine!

      I can really notice those changes in your definition. I’m with Nate on the mysterious body skin colour change - I suspect it’s not diet related. Have you been running outside celebrating your newly defined physique ?
      Def possible and you’ll probably find that your body craves the routine and cleaner lifestyle after being shoehorned for three months. Listen to it’s needs rather than total relaxation and dropping off the edge at the end.
