Skipping on the skipping

So the workout today was hard.....as I had to stop after 500 skips as my left calf was killing me. It actually kicked in at 100 skips but I persevered through gritted teeth....but it just got too painful. Rest of workout was fine- quite enjoyed it. Having quite a tough day for various reasons, and in the past would definitely be having a glass of wine or so,etching stronger later....but not now....a hot bath is my new wine o clock! Hoping the skipping will go better tomorrow.

Managed to actually do 6 of the captains chairs today. They are so hard and my legs swing all over the place, but someone I know was in the gym and came over to tell me how impressed they were with my new excercise! Food wise all ok- today was my first lunch out- and had a salmon and rocket bagel with a side salad....so hopefully ok, although the salmon was smoked so very salty. It was delicious though! And nice to have lunch out and find something kenzai compliant, mostly. Also, interesting thing happened today, which was making spaghetti bolognese for my daughter and found that I really fancied the beef! I haven't eaten meat in almost 30 years, so that was really strange. Either I am just desperate to eat something tasty or I am feeling the need for protein.....which brings me to my current dinners. Which have been a smoothie and chopped apple for the last 3 nights. And last night I was way too tired to eat my veggies, so just went to bed. Will try and get them down me tonight though.....will try and post some photos soon....I have been a bit lazy as it all just takes ages with crappy China Internet.

Lost my workout....

Hi...managed to go to gym to do my workout today- only to discover that I left my iPad and therefore my workout at home. I had to try and get through it by memory, and didn't do too badly....managed to remember all although some reps were a little out! Glad it's done though....I am finding it really tough and am hardly moving. I can't really do those dips and the metronomes are a killer- my legs are bent the whole time! How is everyone else doing? Loving some of the egg white inspiration!

Bring on week 5!!!

Can't believe we are starting week 5.... And that I have done 29 days of working out. Feeling ok- happy to be moving to the next stage, and feeling upbeat about my new dinners! The upside is that it could save me a lot of chopping and washing time every day....!! Definitely feeling the workouts now....lots of new aches and pains! Still not loving the skipping.....

Well...first my phone went all weird and jammed on me. Which meant having to reset it to factory settings so losing all photos, contacts etc. Then my laptop died....again lost all photos etc. nope- did not have anything backed up despite the computer telling me to do this a lot! Lesson learned.....just wish I hadn't lost all the photos. The whole thing was really stressful, so now I have some weird rash.....might have to have a glass of wine as indulgence....although the workouts have helped manage any bad moods brilliantly!

Not totally off- not a total wash out but still. I was so hungry this afternoon that I had 25g more carbs! And I've been all over the place today measuring my milk allowance. I was really good at measuring out 100 ml for tea and coffee in the day....then wanted sone yoghurt and thought I'll use a tablespoon....that must be 50ml....but who knows! I was pushed for time so started to guess....the result of which I have to spend MORE time trying to unravel it all. How ridiculous! Maybe I am just going a little bit mad....still there's the question of those rogue extra carbs.....determined to BE SO ON IT tomorrow. Good workout....those leg rotations are hideous.

Creeping around

Ok day today- but timings a bit off so was feeling really hungry late afternoon. Felt crazy doing the creeps....God only knows what I looked like!

Tough day with a teething baby, so it really just dragged. However, had loads of prepared food in the fridge, which made things much easier and managed to get workout done during kiddie nap time. Read the lessons and wondering......how does Patrick read my mind......? It's spooky.

Little workout buddy

Had to make sure the workout got done today so involved my little work out buddy. I think she found it amusing! The lesson was really timely as feeling a little down with it all- no changes physically- in fact none at all as far as I can see....but I am trusting the process, keeping my head down, being a mule. Hopefully will lose some inches...or even mm soon!

...so I am counting this as a rest day and will work out on Sunday instead. Luckily I did two huge walks with the buggy so I think I'll just about get away with it. But it goes to show the importance of routine. Today went a bit off as I arranged something else during my normal workout time, hence "breaking" the routine. And I didn't recover from it all day....so I won't be doing that again! Was really loving the healthy eating today....

Had to park both babies in their cots to get the workout done today as its a public holiday in China until next wed and so no nanny. And the lovely kenzai peeps snuck in another 50 skips! Got the workout done....food all good....although feeling hungry a lot at the moment...

....they are so hideous! In fact my most challenging thing so far is getting a good photo as anywhere with mirros in my house is so dark! I will try harder next week- it kind of helps me as a motivator and a reality check.....so far so ok.....workouts done, food bit ok.....not to much happening with physical changes yet, but adopting the mule mindset and no doubt it will slowly happen.....quite proud of my dinner tonight so added a photo- garlic prawns! With quinoa ( not in photo)..,,and green salad....only thing missing is a glass of wine- haha!

Never before have I been 100% compliant on a "programme". So a first for me already. Had a good day- lots of variety with my food, and got the 600 skips done. I did them in 6 blocks of 100, I hope that's ok! I really don't enjoy them....and still have 76 more days of them! Yikes.

....things get switched on me! From Monday my diet plan tells me my carb allowance for dinner halves and I lose my brekkie egg white. I have been loving the kenzai breakfasts so hopefully it won't be too high drama....I haven't eaten so many eggs in my life! I have also noticed in the qa section that I should have been eating Greek yoghurt....this was a complete miss for me, and had Greek yoghurt 3 times this week. Eek! Just had brown rice, salmon and a LOT of kale. amazing how much kale you can get from 190g. Still enjoying the workouts....they normally just take around 30 mins which is really manageable at the moment.....how is everyone else feeling?

Hi...loved today's lesson and totally believe in it....but with a toddler and a 3 month old baby it's nearly impossible....love the idea though. Had a good workout session today- even the skips weren't so bad. Think I might need to get a better rope though....mine weirdly hurts my arms ....having a hungry/ craving sort of day...keep dreaming of cake with my cups of tea!
