So...day one of chisel saw me get on a plane- so far so standard. I’m in Michigan and then leave later today for Las Vegas for a work conference. I’ll need every ounce of k strength willpower for that.
We went for sushi last night so my no carb rule went out the window with American style sushi rolls and a lovely glass of white.
And...my foot is no better. I’m no skipping and I missed out the hangs as I was worried about landing heavily on my foot. It’s really my small toe causing me pain, although it looks like my other toes on this picture. Forgive the hideous image- it’s just the best way to show what’s going on! All that darkness is some kind of bruising. Hmmmm...


So....I fell over on Sunday - the day before chisel- and really really hurt my little toe on my right foot. I managed yesterday’s workout although it did hurt. I can hardly walk on my foot today and am boarding a 15 hour flight for the US where I will be for the next 2 weeks. #hopeeveryoneelseishavingabetterstart

Well this has not been my best kb effort to date. The last week in particular has been bad with cooking classes and food tours in Vietnam as well as general easter holiday mode. I have not ended well as per Kenzai recommendations but I still feel very upbeat.
I don’t feel I’ve lost any weight but I feel fitter and better and continue to get closer to my weight loss goals. Massive thank you to @elissa and @leah- god knows you probably wanted to scream at me! Thank you to all my team mates too- I wasn’t brilliant at blogging this time round but I enjoyed checking in on you all. And a massive congratulations too- we did it!!!

So...apparently I haven’t blogged for 14 days!!!! So the Kenzai gods are angry. I tried to post from Shanghai on the app a couple of days ago but it clearly didn’t work. Things are going away but things are challenging now as I’m in Vietnam with the fam for Easter. Already had a beverage at lunchtime. It’s going to be an interesting finish. Please see my photo from my workout zone earlier this week!

Have managed as best as I can on this travel round. Luckily its only for 3 days as I seem to find it hard to keep my resolve after day 4. We had a conf call to the US tonight, and my colleague actually poured a glass of red in front of me, and placed the bottle in front of me too. Not helpful. I stuck to the Perrier and for the first time on this round did not find it hard. I find Kenzai really helps me cope with the long days, endless travel, mummy duties and life in general, and this week has been good so far. Saying that, my workout today was a little half baked. I could not push myself through those burpies. hideous.


KB 2 - Day 64

Well, I am back from Australia ...for a bit. I head off to Seoul on Wednesday.
Things got a bit messy back end of the week in Australia. Which then lasted in to the weekend. It was mother's day in the UK yesterday so things went off the rails slightly there too. Urgh - I just haven't "caught on" in this programme as much as I should have. I have been on the workouts - I did miss one last week, but did all the rest - but have really struggled with the most important, ALL important, diet. I am keen to end well, so looking at finishing these 3 weeks well. Only the Seoul trip and a trip to China to get through.

It’s been a tough week so far. There’s been very long days, not enough sleep and not 100 % compliance although as mindful as I can be. Had a few beverages last night too so not loving that. Find I’m running through that big open door rather than the small crack this week ( I’ve always lived that lesson and recalling it normally does the trick). The photo is a view from my room

This time Australia. I’m supposed to be doing a tasting of a new range of pizza, desserts and thick shakes. That is the day job, then lots of socialising and a wine tasting night.
Wish me luck- I think I’m going to really need it!
Starting on a good note. This was lunch in the lounge. Pretty compliant but very salty


Well, last week was much better than the week before until I picked up a bit of a nasty bug. Everytime I tried to skip on Friday I would end up in a fit of coughing so I just did the strength exercises. Saturday I did pilates, and Sunday I did a 5k walk as I started coughing every time I started to run. Monday I decided not to do anything at all, as I thought probably best to get in to bed with a lemsip. So, I was back on the workouts yesterday and WOW! Very intense. Again, the skipping meant coughing so I just ended up doing strength. Its kind of frustrating as I still have this annoying cough. I have been to the doctors who are advising I just wait until it runs it course.
While I was there I got her to check if I had a post natal abdominal separation (my youngest is almost 4 btw - shows how often I bother to go to the docs - tend to self prescribe instead!). I was hoping I had in some ways to explain why I am so bad at the abdominal excercises now! But nope - all ok with the muscles per se - they are just super weak!
Having a tough time on KB2 this time. The difficult first half has not set up the right tone. So although I am in HK at home and therefore compliant, I feel fidgety, miserable, dissatisfied and out of sorts. Whereas the time has flown in other programmes, I can't believe I am only on Day 52! Urgh!
I had decided NOT to do the indulgence last week as I had such a calamitous week the week before. However, I am now thinking I need to get out of my funk and just go out for dinner with the hubby. Might give me something to look forward to. Thoughts? To indulge or not to indulge in my question.


Well, after going away last week with the family, the diet held up well for a couple of days and then just fell apart totally. Back in the saddle now. Have to make this second half count, as I've been so abjectly bad at the first half! So far so good this week.

On family holiday which is making compliance tricky. I’m definitely being very careful- but not weighing anything and have indulged in some alcoholic bevvies. On the upside my workout area is looking good!


So India last week was tough. Managed to do a workout everyday although 2 of them were emergency workouts. Sleep wasn’t great and as the week progressed and I got more tired my choices became poorer. This had a knock in effect in to my weekend and I’m now on the road again. Indonesia this time. Feeling a bit panicky as I’ve got a family holiday coming up on Saturday. I’ve been looking forward to it for ages and need to formulate a game plan. Team- lesson here- don’t be me!

So I had a couple of glasses of wine over the weekend. There. It’s out there. The diet was not 100% either- more like 95%. All good on the workout front.
I don’t know why I’m not in an iron willed mindset. I know there’s an indulgence coming up but did it anyway. To be honest I felt ok about my decision but a little irritated that my clothes aren’t much looser. You really do get what you give in this programme. I’m a little worried as I’m on the road now. I will be in India all week and I always find it hard to get good fresh fruit and veg there. Amazing veggie curries but sadly that won’t cut it!
On the plus side- this is my fruit snack. I have swerved the biccies and other goodies out there to torture me in the lounge!
