Check 1, Check 1......

Hi everyone, I'm Brett and I'm pretty excited to be starting up the program!
A little under 2 years ago I did the 120 day program for the more voluptuous individual - it was called the Foundation back then - and I loved it. I have a pretty typical background for folks who do these programs; used to be a decent athlete but now I have kids et al, travel a lot for work and got into some really bad habits. The Foundation was perfect for me; I started eating a ton better, I got into exercising every day, it was great. I went from being really badly out of shape to being in great shape, lost 25 lbs and just generally felt better.
Some of you may be wondering whether the changes are maintainable after the program ends and I would say "For the most part, yes." I learned a ton about nutrition and how to introduce more vegetables into my diet throughout the day, and I learned how to exercise in a way that really helped me reach goals. I didn't learn how to stop drinking beer and I didn't learn how to pull myself out of those weeks when you are just eating cruddy because you are working so much. But of the 25 lbs. I lost almost 2 years ago, 15 are still gone and I have remained in good-to-great shape throughout the time since the program through exercise and generally good eating. My body works differently than it did two years ago. I'm a believer in the gospel that is about to be preached.
I am in a job in financial services that I will be leaving either at the end of this year or early next year - we are still working out the deal. I have been in my job for the last 7 years and when my company announced that they were offering money to folks to leave I decided that I would look for a change. I have travelled a ton over the last few years - I work in New York and Toronto, but also travel all around North America - and I have 3 kids ages 7, 9 and 12. It's time to do something different. Now I just need to figure out what that is!
As I mentioned, I have two sons sandwiched around a daughter so they keep me busy when I am home. I don't take myself or much else very seriously, but I am excited to get focused in on this.
Good luck everyone!
