4 days off

Felt great to have 4 days off (it was supposed to be 3, but had a long travel day on day 4 - in addition to a brutal sinus/nasal infection), and felt great to get back in to the workouts. Definitely missed the routine.
I am sure I am the only one (except for all my Chara teammates!), but I just find myself eating exactly like I have been for the last few months - minus the egg white/apple/milk dinners (as special as those were!).

Tried to ski today, but the wind storm shut down all but the small chairs on the bottom of the mountain, so another day of jump roping with a frozen jump rope. Snow is too deep to shovel out a place to jump, so used my garage and enjoyed the view out on to the snowy farms all around me.

Me too! 4 days off where I think I may have been too relaxed! My dad was in town do we shared a bottle of wine on Monday night....yikes! Back on it today too....although I get the apple and egg white dinners as I've opted for strict programme. Decided to take 3 day off over Christmas too.....skiing! How fab!

    Anita - being on ski holiday, the strict diet will be a bit challenging, but huge kudos to you for that! When I get back in my work groove in Tokyo in January, may opt for a "blended" diet between strict and normal. I definitely could get a bit leaner, but skiing and trying to keep up with my kids is not the time to run out of gas!
    Hope you have a great x-mas and new year holiday! How awesome that your father could visit you!

        I had 3 days off, and it was a weird feeling as though I should be working out! Is nice to get back to it. ALso have been having a few wines (my achilles heel as you all well knowl!) and to be honest not feeling great for it... eating pretty well still and not reaching for sweets at all.. done two workouts this week and about to start another one now. Although my ankle is now playing up and my skipping is not great - have no idea what I've done to it - 90 days of skipping and it was fine - 3 days off and now it's not good! have a great xmas everyone

          Cristy - I agree - kind of tough re-starting the engine! Been skiing for my cardio, but trying to get in the other work after skiing. Having been there/done that, definitely let your ankle feel better before doing more jumping. Have a super holiday!
