killer cold

Started to feel a cold coming on around Monday. So naturally powered through my workout. Was getting worse on Tuesday, so cranked the workout full on - of course I can burn this cold away. Did the same on Wednesday and Thursday - fully drugged up on cold medicine. In hindsight, not so clever. Was aching and exhausted by Thursday when I re-read the getting sick lesson and went to easy cardio and about 50% of the other work for Friday and Saturday. Now finally recovering. Should be back 100% by Monday, but was pretty hurting for a few days! Actually felt good with the lighter workouts, but could tell I wasn't at full strength.

    I know what u mean... It's addictive... And the worst thing is u go for the higher number if reps!!!
    Hope u get well soon... I did a similar thing a few weeks back when I felt a cold coning on, but I managed to shrug it off within a couple of days...

      Thanks Anita and Jillur - On the mend now. Fortunately tomorrow is an easier day and plan to go back full throttle from Monday. Traveling in HK at the moment, so a bit of a struggle to get enough egg whites! (did I really write that!!??)

        Rest up my friend as I know you'll want to rock the last few days of workouts - we're going to be changing it up a bit. Hard to get egg whites in HK? Have your hotel boil you up a few!

          Malia - that is the plan, but hating hard boiled eggs, going to get them to make me egg white omelettes!
