Inspired by my teammates!

Went out and ran 9km today at a sub 6 minute pace in the midday heat. But it only happened because I saw so many of you guys kicking out long Sunday runs and rides - didn't want to be left behind!! Inspiration appreciated and built upon!! Thank you teammates!

went from sore to not sore

For about 10 days, I was sore everyday - it was like the soreness was rotating around my body based on the prior day's workout. Then suddenly it ended - regardless of the workout, no more soreness. Definitely have heavy legs some mornings, but not sure what changed! Others feeling the same?
BTW - is there something about the Wednesday workouts that is just crushingly hard? or is it just me?

After dreaming about pizza for 3 weeks, threw out my egg whites and had a bowl of beef vegetable soup, some guacamole and salsa (with no chips), and a big piece of salmon. And feel really good about the whole thing!!
Did wake up in the morning still feeling full.


The joy of day 45..........

......was quickly squashed by a killer workout that "introduced" us to clockface planks. My favorite part was that in addition to the killer workout they provide, I was dizzy for most of the 20 seconds of rest in between sets. At least now I will be more thankful for regular plank days.
PS - Patrick - now I am definitely not taking back the hair comment from day 1!

Took a good friend, who also happens to have recently been diagnosed with ALS, to Hokkaido (northern Japan) for a weekend of fresh air, hot spring bathing, and awesome food. We were supposed to go on a couple of long bike rides Friday and Saturday, but got rained out. Scale went away and eating out was not conducive to having egg white dinners, but kept portions under control and ate 100% clean - tons of fresh vegetables - and nailed the workouts. 100% back on diet from tomorrow. Tried to participate in the 10k race being run near me, but registration closed in July (seriously?!). But this fellow was having fun.


Kenzai broke my stopwatch

For some reason, the time goes super slow during my planks and then super fast during the rest times in between planks. How do they do that?! And why won't they stop?!

Seems that the KB2 honeymoon came to a crashing end today with 50 second plank sets..................i HATE those..........d


magic number?

So it seems that the grams go away in parallel at about the same pace that the reps and seconds of the sets increase. I wonder if there is a magic "Kenzai number" that totals grams and reps and they are just playing around with some spread sheet each week to make it hit the number. Trading grams of carbs for seconds of planks this week!

With all the great fresh fruit this time of year, craved something more salty so went for some popcorn and a few potato chips. Obviously felt great at the moment, but the morning after - stuffed, dry mouth and ready for some veg and fruit. Why does the indulgence concept always rock relative to the actual indulgence?!

to scale or not to scale?!

After three weeks, the curiosity of having eaten clean for 21 days and wondering whether I have lost any weight is kinda brutal. During KB, went then entire 90 days without jumping on the scale and it was a great surprise at the end. Jump on the scale or not?.....................perhaps not!
