Ok, I'm usually pretty upbeat about all things Kenzai. But it's Day 52 and I'm losing steam.

Workouts are great but they are super long. 90 minutes. I start at 5:45 and finish at 7:15 am. Mind you I feel great all day but they're taking a huge chunk out of my life.

Also, I can say that I've had enough of egg white dinners. It is cold and rainy today. I was soaked when I got home. My husband had made a chicken and veggie coucous. I needed something warm in me, so I bailed on the egg whites and had coucous instead.

I need to take things one day at a time because if I look long term, I get discouraged. Will need extra resistance for Halloween. We normally get about 300 kids, so there's lots of candy in the house.

Thanks for letting me vent......feel better now :))

Hang in there, Gisele. ‘Cheating’ with chicken and veggie couscous is not a bad thing - in fact it sounds delicious - and probably just what you needed on a soggy day like today. Workouts are getting long for sure. Definitely in the keep your head down/take it one day at a time phase of the program!
Great thing about so many kids coming to your house for Halloween is that they clean you right out of candy. Will be thinking of you tomorrow!

    This reminds me of an article I just read in the Washington Post about most Americans (sorry...it is an American paper) saying they don't have time to exercise, while they actually have 5+ hours of leisure time per day. Of course that's not everyone. And it's especially not everyone in the demographics of college educated people with high power jobs and children. But the point still holds true. There are so many people out there saying they don't have time to exercise, when what they mean is that they are not willing to trade out time in front of a screen or otherwise relaxing for time getting in a workout.
    All that is to say that while it is a huge chunk out of your life, you should feel incredibly proud of being in the minority! And of course in this case, being in the minority is making the right, healthy choice for your long term health and wellness! Even if it means feeling a bit shorter on time than you otherwise would.
    Sounds like you've hit a valley here. Keep blogging it out and surely you'll be on the other side of it soon!

        I have been off Kenzai/ exercise since March and just seeing you in KB2 has me be in awe with your determination! Keep going, you can do this!!

          I made myself a huge pot of kuri squash soup for my veggie at night. perfect way to end the day. Am already looking forward to it now. Warms the tummy and soothes.
