I am now on vacation! Still in the city, but at least not in the office! Yesterday I did a wonderful 50k bike ride along the waterfront. Today, a lovely 90 minute walk. Plus the stretches, of course.

The hip flexors are a bit better. Still not 100%. Cycling is fine. Walking today, was meh. I returned to the stretches two days ago and realised as I was doing the wide angle open stretch, that I was contracting my hip flexors the whole time. So I have to really remind myself, that in order to stretch the hamstrings I really need to let go of the hips.

It's crazy....I've done KB 1, 2, 3, KBells 1, 2, Sculpt and Iron......and it's Reach that I'm finding the most challenging!

I'm behind on the photo....just put it up and I am indeed touching my toes (ish). Will answer QOTW-2 tomorrow......hopefully before QOTW-3 goes up.

Giselle, when I took Reach last year I found the tilting and tipping and hip flexors a challenge. Here I am back at it again and I still have to struggle to really stretch the hamstrings not round my back, so I empathize but I must say your picture is looking really good!

    The bike ride and walk sound lovely! I hope you have a recharching vacation time! I did Reach a few yars back and found it more challenging than most other programs too. I am more of a “doing” person and struggled with the patience required for Reach. Reading your blogs makes me realise I really need to do it again!

      Enjoy your well deserved vacation time! Sounds like you’re feeling better already. Reach is deceiving. Seems like just a lot of lying around and stretching, but it’s so much more challenging than that!

          I haven't done as many programs, but I agree that Reach is deceptively challenging! Being active while on vacation is something I can totally connect with... Enjoy your holiday!

            Stack up those blocks or pillows or blankets to foster more openness in the hips in forward bending. That should really help, Gisele!
