KB1 - Day 31

Wow. Otter kicks kicked my butt today. First set was fine but I totally buckled on the second set and could only do 20-25 secs for the third. The fourth set went the full distance but by this stage my head was on the ground and I was grimacing as if I’d just given birth. Does anyone else get totally blasted on the final round of their workout?

Yes I was....Oh gush and I have never seen anyone gritting teeth as much as I did today and you would run away if you saw me at the Gym.
However, I quite like the Captain's Chair which I don't normally do and I started to enjoy it. I guess it is No pain No gain time….keep going Gordon.

    Ha! Yes, they are brutal!!! But i think brutal is probably a good thing in this case! If you’re getting killed on the last set then your maxing out which is exactly where you want to be. If you’re crusing through it you should probably get a tougher band or stretch it further to add tension. I’m no expert but that’s my thinking and i’ll be intersted to hear what Wade has to say on this.

        @Gordon - Kick an otter or otter kicks? There is some debate about the most appropriate name for those!

        @Jessie - Loving the Captain's Chairs!?! We don't hear that....ENOUGH!

        @Al - I have been called far worse! LOL. And finding failure during the final set, is GREAT! As you say, the routine should become familiar, but never easy. Target muscle burn, even if this means grabbing a lighter band to finish off your reps!

            @Edwina - I have no idea how women do it! (Well, I do, but...) Otter Kicks are tough and the metronome...argh!
