This is Zell am See in Austria where I grew up and learned to ski.

So here is a picture of my son and me skiing a year ago in the Austrian ski resort I grew up in - fond memories...

New start

Just got started on Ski Boot. Am actually not going skiing until March, but am in urgent need of some diet discipline and exercise, and it fits perfectly in before we are off to the beaches of Australia in December. Dropped out of KB3 a couple of months ago due to work and family commitments and not keeping up, so really determined to stick with this short programme - wish me stamina :-) good start with excercises so far.

Restart

Last week was unfortunately a write off. Neck injured first, then cold, diet all over the place. Worried about whether I can get back into it, but yesterday's exercises went well, and on diet so hopeful I will crack it now and stay on course. Motivation back up.

Body parts

After four children, more appropriate question for me would be: which part of your body DO you like/not want to change....my eyes:-). I guess the part that I would change most is my abs.

So week 2 was decent progress: got on with excercises, and 80pct diet compliant (20pct off for wine). Not managed to find a good cross-training activity - I have a very small window in the weekend when I can fit 30-40min in between rugby drop off and gymnastics pick up for my kids, so perfect for a run but not much else.

Challenging last 2 days: hurt my neck (probably doing the shoulder or back excercises wrong), which is a weak point anyway, so can't move without pain. Hope to be back excercising again tonight. Wishing everybody a good week.

Mixed start to KB3 for me. Some very good days last week but also 3 long days of travel for work rushing to airport at 6am and getting back at midnight. Not very Kenzai compliant on those days. Should get better now. And I will stay calm and carry on.

KB3 start

Never under-estimate Kenzai. I was worried about seeing a 20min skipping session and relieved when it was 2 and 2, but thanks for the knee capper...have not been excercising huge amounts since I finished KB2 in May so those muscles are going to be in for a bit of a shock. Glad to be back on more of a diet routine soon. Looking forward to sweating through the next 90 days together.

Late joiner

Hello everybody doing Sculpt. I am a late joiner and just started with the exercises as I wasn't sure I could fully commit with lots of work and family stuff going on (the usual excuse). I finished KB2 in early May, back to back with KB1 finished in January, and thought I would do some running and take it a bit easy, but as bad habits - food and lack of exercises - started to creep in again I realised my personality is such that I need routine, and a community around me to keep me properly going. And with a beach holiday around the corner in early August, Sculpt seems like the perfect option. I will do my best to catch up with everybody, and post a starter photo later today (I am currently in my work attire so not much use).

Hello 10K runners

Only joined the programme today. I finished KB2 at the weekend and during the 90 days re-discovered my joy of running (really to break up the daily skipping in the KB programmes). Did my first run earlier, on a beautiful sunny but cold (4 degree C) early evening in Stockholm, were I am currently for a few days of work - great run along the waterfront. Looking forward to getting to know everybody over the next 6 weeks and clocking up those miles.

Done or not....

So this is it. Two KBs nearly back to back since October after not having done much exercise in the previous couple of years and with a diet all over the place.

First results: lost 9kg, fairly flat tummy (no six pack though ;-), some defined upper arms and happy to wear skinny jeans again, and really enjoyed getting back into cardio and muscle strength, and I feel really healthy and well.

Second journey: lots of euphoria in KB1 once I realised I would actually see this through (which frankly I did not think when I started), some really early wins on weight and body composition. Maybe started KB2 a bit too soon, but found it a harder slog, not the exercises so much, but diet and repetition. Did ok, but definitively more non-compliant days in it. Having said that KB2 has made me realise that this is not about the 90 days, but a more permanent change in lifestyle for me, so I don't have the feeling I need to rest or indulge now, but will just continue broadly the same..

Planning to start the Kenzai run programme (I think it might be tomorrow), hopefully quite different from KB for a bit of variation. Overall, a big thank you to the trainers and my fellow trainees for blogging through the ups and downs and keeping me honest, and going to day 90. Congratulations everybody!

Final days

Last week I only managed to stay about 50% compliant. With the best will in the world, I had a hectic work travel schedule with early morning and late nights and it was just not possible for me to fit it all in. Then came a long weekend with a very social schedule - friends from abroad staying with us, lunches and dinners out, lots of activities with the kids. I did all the cardio, but nowhere near all the strength exercises. Diet ok, not stellar. I should feel bad but I don't, I think its just inevitable that live sometimes gets in the way and starting jump rope at 11pm when I come back from travelling is just not realistic. But I have come to the view that I am not too fussed about the 90 day milestone. With KB 1 and 2 in short order I think my new regime (food, exercises, new body) has settled in and I am hopefully less likely to loose all the good habits gained, and picking myself up after a few days of going astray on the programme is good learning for the way after the 90 days. Enough blogging, need to get back to work and than exercising tonight. Btw: what is on offer for members after KB2 - I don't seem to be able to see any new programmes coming up even when logged into my membership account? Have a good final few days!

90pct compliance

.... Last week. Hope to manage this week as well and straight to the finish line thereafter.

Health Kick now

To be frank, last week was a bit of a write off Kenzai-wise. No injury or illness to blame, just myself (and 4 children in holiday overdrive, plus husband working most days while we were supposedly on holidays). Did more than the presribed cardio, but missed about 3 strength sessions and don't get me started on diet - have I utterly failed on ingraining those good habits, with evening chocolate and wine making a reappearance? Massively bad skin reaction (my body not used to crap shuffled in it) got sense back in me. Now I have been fully compliant for last 3 days and determined to make it last - go Sycamores go!

Family challenges

So, I have been to see my parents for the past few days, with my kids and husband. Lovely people and grandparents, sporty and healthy in their 70s, but dangerous to my KB2 programme "you are so slim, treat yourself you are on holiday, I made this cake for you.,.,". Argh. Good news is I have been very active as is always the case in the mountains - skiing, a long hike, a couple of long runs. Not all the strengths excercises, but most. But the diet has been a bit torpedoed, and given its 80pct of the programme I have some catching up to do now and feel I am running out of time a bit, only 25 days to go.
