Seriously....I am DYING for a piece of chocolate. This time of day is always my lull when I run out of steam, but still have quite a few hours until I can climb into my cozy bed. After my chocolate/peanut butter binge last week, I made a deal with myself that I’m NOT going to cheat on the diet. So...I’ve got a steaming cup of chamomile vanilla tea instead. Definitely not quite the same, but it’ll do.

My fave tea too! How about a sprinkle of pure cocoa powder on yogurt? I like to save my morning dairy to go with my afternoon fruit!

i am with you on this one! chocolate is chocolate! peronaly i hate the chocolate & orange stuff or the Aftereight minty stuff so my wife has kindly offered to remove chocolate temptation by only buying these fruit flavoured alternatives which i dislike so no more temptation (at least in this front!). not sure this can help you... just trying !

I promise you if you avoid that chocolate for a couple of weeks, the temptation lessens. If you give in the brain stays active. The afternoon is a tough time for so many of us. There are free m&ms in my office and during program I have to tell my colleagues that I'm not allowed to have them and I put a Post-it note on the jar reminding me of that. M&Ms aren't even that good, but they are there, and sugary, and it's mid-afternoon! Chamomile tea is a great treat.

Here's a tip: save your dairy portion from breakfast. At afternoon tea, mix pineapple chunks with yogurt and sprinkle with cardamon and cinnamon. It's sweet, filling, and delicious. Or, blend mango chunks and Kefir with cardamon and a touch of honey. It's an almost mango lassi.
