I'm getting results but not as many as I would like and I know why. I never did extra cardio, and now that I am no longer skipping, the amount of time it takes to do alternate cardio and my workout.... Ugh - it's just not happening in the timeframe I have. Therefore, I am cutting corners, not doing the time in cardio, or skipping it altogether telling myself I'll do something that evening - which typically doesn't happen except I've been trying to take my dog on longer walks in the evenings. I just need to get my ass into gear and break up the workout out and stick to it.

I'm doing pretty good on my diet though.

We only have 40 more days so I want to make the most of it!! I am also going on vacation Aug 21-25 to see my family, which I know I will get off track some - not altogether, but some.

The rope is so efficient and I’ve struggled to keep the same level and intensity for cardio as well once I let go of it. Nothing has equaled to that 15min-20min jump rope session to get you going.

    Naoko, I can no longer jump rope as I've had 2 serious injuries related to it. Hanging the rope up unfortunately. 😭

        I wouldn't worry too much about it Jen. If you are having to resort to alt cardio due to a jumping rope injury, then this makes the workouts looooooooong. BUT, you can do the abs at a different time (as you wake up, or when you get back in the evening) This will save a little time. Find ways of adding in extra cardio to your routine - like walk further to work, always take stairs. See if you rdogs enjoy running! (mine does, but he either sprints or just sniffs the ground = fail!)

          Same here with the alternate cardio Jennifer, takes ages and a while for the workout to get over. I've never broken up my workout into parts during the day - good idea to try. Will do.

            Thanks everyone! Scott - haha - well, I work from home so not too many stairs here : )) Jax does like to sniff a lot and when I have tried running with him he will stop dead in his tracks every 10 feet to go sniff. I'm breaking things up and this is how it's going to work for me, so thanks for the idea! Thank you Pankaj!!! And yes Ketan - right there with you! Try the breaking up the workout thing!

              Do alt cardio in skipping time, better than skipping cardio
