Apologies team for no posts or responses to your posts recently and unfortunately I need to drop out. Timing has just been horrible with back to back weeks of work and personal trips which has made it really tough to keep up with workouts. Diet hasn't been bad but not what it should be for this type of program. Hoping to get back into a rhythm next week when schedule gets back to normal.

Why Beach Blast...

Two reasons...

1. Really took a long layoff after last chisel program and was looking for a jumpstart to get back into a routine
2. Taking the wife on a long weekend anniversary trip to Bermuda right after the program ends so need to be looking tight on the beach...timing was perfect!

Week 1 was tough but feeling better going into week 2. Have a great week everyone!

Graduation Post 

This post is super late but figured I’d better clean things up before starting a new program. Was doing great during this last chisel program but then work really got in the way of the last week and derailed things. Still got some good results but I need to focus on better balance between work and everything else. Looking forward to upcoming beach body 28

Chisel - Final Week

Work is sapping my energy so hard to get fired up for last week but going to push through. Had a really good week for workouts and diet last week. ..other than a few drinks to celebrate my birthday. Here's hoping everyone has a strong final week!


Chisel - Day 29

Those extra couple of pushup burpees today made quite a difference!


Chisel - Day 25

Only completed 2 of the 3 cycles this morning. Stomach wasn't feeling right and I didn't want to push my luck. Still got a good sweat on and don't feel as guilty as if I skipped the workout altogether which did cross my mind when I woke up.


Chisel - Day 22

What a great workout today! 3rd cycle was tough especially the third time around with the pushup burpees. Substituted 1:30 circle run for the crescent kicks...not sure why other than I don't like the crescent kicks! Should be a good week for diet and workouts as no work events on the calendar.

Chisel - Day 16

Feels like week 3 got here really fast! Maybe it's because work has been so busy days feel like they are flying by. Other than Super Bowl Sunday diet has been tight. Tried not to indulge too much and only 1 or 2 events between here and the finish line that I will need to navigate. So far enjoying this second go around of chisel as much as I did the first.

Chisel Intro...

This is my second go around with Chisel...really enjoyed it the first time back in early 2018. Took a break from working out starting around mid-October when I received a major promotion at work. I've still been settling into the role and I've been putting in longer hours and have generally been mentally spend most days so the daily workout routine took a bit of a back seat. But now I'm motivated to get things going again and really looking forward to getting back to where I was in the fall both body wise and diet wise. I have three great kids (ages 16, 14 and 12) and a wife who cooks me great meals and also helps me to stay on track with the eating so I have a ton of support as I go through these next 6 weeks!


Chisel - Day 2

Workout completed by a little after 6am. This is my second time around with the chisel program but definitely harder out of the gate as I took quite a bit of time off from workouts since my last program and with the holidays. Pretty disgusted by my day 1 pic so motivated to get back to where I was in early October. Cleaning up the diet and looking forward to shedding a few of the holiday pounds over the next 6 weeks!

Graduation Post! 

I thought I had posted my Grad post earlier this morning but for some reason not showing up so I apologize if this somehow posts twice!!

In all honesty, I really struggled to make it to the finish line with this latest 90 day cycle. It might have been the time of year, but once summer was coming to an end and kids activities were picking up my motivation really got impacted. Work really started to get busy as well. But I'm actually pretty happy with the results all things considered and now I'm looking forward to a little break. Will probably stick to the 6 week programs going forward for a while. Would like to do another chisel program towards the end of the year.

I really enjoyed being part of this team and I apologize that I wasn't as focused on keeping current with my blogs and my teammates'. Thanks to Thomas for all of the encouraging words throughout and hope to see you all in future programs!


Work has been crazy with many recent changes and so apologies for not keeping current with blogs. Been getting in some of the workouts but my focus has generally been on work and sleep!

At least the finish line is in sight! :)


Played hoops for the first time in 4 months as the fall pickup league session has begun. Great cardio for about 2 hours and knees felt pretty good...back not so much. Still pretty stiff today so held off doing my workout this morning and will shoot to get it done tonight. May have been the pounding I took fighting through screens and chasing some of these younger guys around. Was nice to be able to lay on the couch most of the day and recover though. Focused on trying to have a solid week with the workouts and diet with only 2 weeks left.

Took a small break from diet this past weekend to play golf and have a relaxing, no kids sports weekend in Lake Placid. Had a great time and didn't feel too guilty about the heavily liquid-focus meal plan. I am motivated to have a strong last 3 weeks which leads up to my next indulgence weekend in Napa!
