Food Challenge

I could use some help. For two days in a row, I haven’t been able to find clean and editable food to eat at lunch time. The protein choices for today was this really fatty ground beef (we think) or salmon that is more bones than meat and tasted foul.

What are your recommendations for when you don’t have access to quality food?

Packed lunch from home if thats possible - thats usually what I do.

    I guess having what’s available is the way to go rather than going hungry — or are there other options?

      Hey Mary, I read your other post about camp life and challenges on the food front.
      Do you have access to canned fish? Tuna , mackerel etc would be good options if available. Let me know exactly what we're working with here.

        Hey hon! ...u guys must have more option than just a foul tasting salmon ...did u bring some protein powder with u from the US?...could order from iHerb for you and send it to tengiz. How about eggs?...check with the chef if there's a chance to make some grilled chicken breast for you everyday for lunch (they have that for sure)...and I'm sure if u ask in person , they will do it. Is Jessica (the nutritionist) around?...she could manage that for you I'm sure. Let's talk tomorrow ...hang in there the best u can for now...I'm sure u will figure it all out soon. xoxo

          One option I have is to bring in cooking utensils and make my own. This adds a level of complexity but is a logical long term solution.
