I went back and looked at the mantra I posted for this challenge when I did the original Kenzai Run-10K program back in the winter of 2016.

Still a fitting mantra...just need to swap out “Winter” and insert “Rain” with how water logged the start of this spring has been. “Rain is No Excuse. Go Run”.

    Wow! You're going back to basics with K. Run 1?? Just curious, how do you think programs like run help someone like you when you're already way ahead on the run curve. Do you use it more like off season training?

    Any way that K Run half could benefit me if I merge it into training for a full marathon (perhaps during base building period)?

      I don’t mind a little rain but the grey drizzle of England does irritate me. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it, I def want to revisit run sometime soon.

        I prefer running in the cold than in the rain, hate the soggy feet...unless its cold rain...that really sucks.

              @Ameya, I wanted to do the program to get a better understanding of it along with the trainees I'm leading. It's a good reminder on technique refreshers and lessons. You can always adjust the distances to fit your needs. Run-Half works well for base building for sure. Gives you the team and diet dynamic too that doing an 18-week marathon prep schedule on your own doesn't provide.
