The most difficult program I have had on Kenzai.. ofcourse the workouts were challenging but they also gave a different high when one could feel the negatives and the Centuries adding to muscle strength. The real challenge for me was I went through a major emotional drain and came pretty close to quitting the program. However in retrospect I believe just that extra nudge to stay committed to the program helped me manage the emotional strain far better. The focus certainly helped. I will repeat the program for sure in the next 6 months given that I faced challenges due to my travel schedule. Apologies to my friends on the group. This was one of the programs where I was least involved in terms of my comments on blogs. Hope to see you on other programs. All the best. Thanks Ward for your support through the program.


Week 12

A good week again with compliant diet and work outs. I like the Centuries ! They definitely make me feel much stronger ! I undertook a complete health check up this weekend and felt great that all the vital stats were within range. Thank you Team Kemzai !


Week 11

Finally a week of fully compliant diet and workouts. A bit jet lagged. But not tired. Bonus from being back to playing Badminton also was a high !


Week 10

Not the most ideal way to spend the week during the closing stages of a program. I was house hunting 3 days at New Jersey and then flew back to India. While work outs have been compliant, diet has been all over the place. Looking for a tight final 2 weeks.


Week 9

A no frills week..compliant on exercise and diet..just that I was relying on small Hot Toddy shots to help me with the weather chills !


Week 8

Am back in Chicago. It's been a roller coaster ride. Caught flu..lack of sleep .not so much of jet lag but blocked nose and consequently finding difficult to breathe!. I have been welcomed to minus 6 degree and 5 inches of snow fall. Both alien conditions to me. My typical exercise time is 6.30 7 am. Current weather conditions make it near impossible to motivate the body to fire up. Doing exercise in the garage and sweating during speed rope has been a high. Am looking to move my exercise time to an hour post break fast. Hoping it works.

My kryptonite has to be Indian masala tea. I had virtually given up on the same while in India. However the cold weather here makes the hot masala tea a welcome thing. Looking to gradually ease out of the habit.


Week 7

A steady week..back to being compliant on diet and enjoying the work outs. Festival week in India..managing to keep away from the ever inviting tempting aroma of sweets and savories ! A good massage thrown in after a really very long time..


Week 6

A mixed week because of the travel. I interchanged the weekend cardio to my day of travel. My connecting flight actually got delayed allowing me to do some good walking. Not ideal stuff but tried to manage to the best. Diet about 90 percent compliant due to the day of travel. Am thoroughly loving the "negatives". Gives some serious burns.


Week 4 and 5

Have been missing on blogs 2 weeks now. Had a family medical emergency to attend. Tried my best with the workouts and diet during the period. I generally relied on an hour of jogging and managed to do exercises which did not require the bands to be attached to any anchor. I would also do 20 Surya Namaskars. Back on proper workouts and diet since last 4 days. I head back this week to India for a short break. Will lose 2 days on travelling. Hoping to be fully compliant during the second half of the program.


A nice week. Great workouts and fully compliant. The biceps are showing some good shape..the flip side is the triceps are hurting a bit. No pain no gain. With KB3 I am concentrating on form and doing my exercises at a slower pace and not rushing through. I certainly feel the burn more at the targeted area and am enjoying it.

Losing track of time has to be with my current obsession of cooking. I have always enjoyed cooking and things now seem to be falling in place as I am left to fend for myself here in US. My wife and Dad were here with me and they used to cook. But they have now left for India and I am cooking ! I have been observing, making notes as I see all the food preparation around me and now is the time to implement. Must say some of the dishes have been highly satisfactory and am proud :)


Week 2

A compliant week though had to shuffle around the weekend workouts. My back niggle was back..guess a function of the ever changing mattresses on my visit here to US. By far I have been most comfortable sleeping on the floor with some cushions thrown in. Difficult to adjust to the super soft mattresses here. I brought forward the sunday cardio to saturday. Better now though some discomfort from long sitting is still there. Need to move and stretch around a bit.

The one body part which keeps troubling me is my abs. Even after years have not had visible abs ! I had some success with Beach ready. At 50 while my heart still says to push for the well defined abs..my mind says be happy with the fitness you enjoy. I am working towards it. Hope I will be there sooner or later.


Week 1 and 1 Advice

A nice warm up to Week 1. Push up lean in puts nice pressure on the triceps. Love this one. Interchanged my sunday free cardio to Saturday as we were visiting SFrisco/ Golden Gate. I finally managed to "see" golden gate on my 5th visit over the years as the weather gods were kind with a nice clear sunny weather. Monday I head back to Chicago to a chilled weather as compared to the nice sunny weather in California :(. Am gonna struggle. I am not a cold weather person.

I have received 2 advices which have been game changers for me. One at the beginning of my career when my mentor pushed me to a career in financial markets ignoring a double pay in manufacturing. The second is ofcourse the introduction to Kenzai where I learned its 80 percent of what you eat !


KB3 Intro

Hi..this is Nandu from India. In the US since about 4 months shuttling between my immediate families at Chicago and California. Likely to be here another couple of months and trying to figure out how I am gonna cope with the winter chill.

Honestly.. There is nothing I would change about Kenzai. I had a personal trainer for about 5 years before kenzai and there was no physical change in me. With Kenzai I am a transformed person..living clean and at my best ever !

I am a wild life lover and love to be in the midst of jungle safaris with my son who is a keen photographer. If I am in the middle of a deserted island, am sure I would carry documentaries on wild life around the world to plan for my next safari :)


Day 2

A steady start. Excited. Had a look at the week plan and the innovative full body exercises are exciting ! Was tempted to up the game given its a slow start. But reminded myself not to fall in the trap as the game becomes challenging as we go deep :)

I am looking to refine my form along the way.

T shirt Ready really challenged me in many ways. The sheer length of the daily workouts especially heavy days left me exhausted at times. I have always enjoyed the results that follow. I followed the Kenzai principle..dont question..just do it. Ranks right up there in terms of enjoying the work outs. And am sure I am T shirt ready and will always be..because it's a journey 🙏🍻😎.
