Day 16 - Hadn’t mentioned this yet but man, Chen has pulled all but 50g of carbs at lunch for me. While that feels lean and mean, and is the least carbs I think I’ve ever had in a program, I’m good with it! In Run programs he shoves so many down my throat I can’t eat them all! Haha! Day 16 workout was good.

Day 17 - Had a weird schedule. Yard work in the am, worked late, then had a date night with Miranda! We needed to get out of the house and went to an awesome little vegan restaurant in the city. Did not have grams (carbs at dinner?!?!) and food was a touch naughty, abstained from alcohol.

The biggest bummer is I didn’t get in the workout! That’s my first miss on this program. But with 11 days left I can nail every one. So it goes. We needed a nice relaxing evening after a couple stressful days and we had a blast.

Onwards and upwards!

50g of carbs is about 9 pieces of fusilli. I know. Brown rice is the way forward, and make sure you get EVERY grain!

    I'm with you in the 50g of lunch carbs club, I'm a serial (cereal?) carb cutter but not now...

        Yah, I noticed it on Tuesday night when I write the grams on the fridge! Same here. We can do it...though you managed to make Run sound more appealing! Yard work and date night sound like a good reason to skip a workout, still pretty active. I find vegan restaurants often use carbs instead of vegetables so less of the healt food than they sound - sigh! Sounds like you’re both doing really well anyway.

            I'm also on 50g a day. Even though breakfast carbs have always been low, I didn't realise how much they were getting me through the morning! Fruit snacks can't come quickly enough!

              Yeah I’m in the same 50g at lunch (for the day) carb world. It’s weird right?
              And I find it much harder to miss carbs at breakfast after the workout than at lunch... Hoping it’s all worth it. Looks like you’re knocking it out the park, Nate. Spend that ticket - it’s meant to be used!
