Slow finish GRADUATION POST
Sorry for the slow final blog post. The Rugby World Cup has arrived in Japan and things are getting hectic. Probably didn't commit enough time and energy to this program but glad I got there in the end. A bit of time now needed consolidating what I have learnt in the program and work out what to do next.
The Rugby World Cup is here in 8 days and getting ready for a rather large 2 months of footy and socialising. Trying to finish off this week strong to look a little better in the Wallabies jersey.
Just catching up on things. Had my 2nd last MBA subject presentation and assignments deliver on Friday so now pretty free until December when I finish with a trip to Silicon Valley. Might have to try and call into the Kenzai offices while I am in the Bay area - from Dec 14th - 23rd.
Been sticking to the workouts and diet about 80% at the moment. As usual, work and social life getting in the way. Was Aussie Father's Day on Sunday so absolutely had to eat the bacon my kids cooked me up. 2 weeks to go and trying to kick it up a notch.
Hey fellow t-shirters, been off the grid for a bit and struggling with some injuries but need to get back into the swing of things. Started diet from day 1 and will aim to be 100% compliant for the first time in a while. Tokyo is blasting like a furnace at the moment with around 95% humidity most days, hoping I can hold onto these dumbbells.
Finished - Better next time GRADUATION POST
Way too much going on this time around on the Bellz. Was away for 3 weeks of the 6 and this really impacted the workouts mainly as I didn't have the Bellz available (and the motivation as well while on holiday). Start a new job next week so had a lot of things to get sorted before that and with school holidays and a kid-free trip to New York, it wasn't great.
Thanks to the regulars for the motivation to keep going and I look forward to getting back into a new program - maybe KB2 - when work settles down a little.
Good trip to New York but limited space for jump rope and access to Bellz. Walked most of Manhattan including a stroll over the Brooklyn Bridge - wow it was hot. Back into it now for a strong finish
Heading out of town for a week with the wife on Tuesday to NYC without the kids (leaving with the grandparents). First real holiday by ourselves for 9 or 10 years so looking forward to having a lot of spare time and getting the workouts in. Diet may be a bit of a struggle but will try to stay strong.
After a bit of travel, it is good to be back home and back into the diet and workouts fully. Looking like a weekend full of rain over here so will be a boring one.
Away this weekend and trying to squeeze the workouts in and be compliant with the diet. Swapped the cardio out yesterday for a short stroll up a bridge with my eldest son.
Found the big one now and don’t feel so bad. Travelling well over the past 3 days with workouts 100% and starting to cut down on the bad foods.
Looking forward to the next 6 weeks as really liked the Bellz program when I did it last year. Combined the jumprope with some work on the elliptical trainer to try and reduce and spread the load on the old feet.
Looks like a big crew doing this session so looking forward to it.
The photo in my weekly pic is of a 12kg Kettlebell and it looks tiny - will make sure to take photos with the big ones next time.
I am with Fish here and want the beach blast badge (not the mankini body). Also wouldn't mind the belt nothes out a little. Good to be back in a cool group with new and old members.
Been struggling with an injury for the last few months and have been given the all clear to get back into things - if not quite all the way as jumprope is out. Bit of a slow start with study getting in the way a bit this week but that ends on Monday so i will be getting back on track.
Thanks all for the messages about the foot injury. Have been taking it easy for the last 2-3 weeks and it is a little better. Physio has given me stretches to work on the supporting muscles to help get things back to normal so am doing these every day.
Good luck with all those other KB3'ers for a strong finish over the next week or so. Will be back into action when the foot is better.
Have been struggling with a foot injury for the whole program and has finally got too much - has been recurring over past couple of years and have been managing the pain. Have been giving the foot a rest for the last week keeping raised whenever I can and walking as little as I can (this is quite hard to get around). This injury forced me to pull out of a couple of programs last year so really need to fix it. I am seriously thinking of buying one of these sock/splints.
Diet has gone a little also as the motivation not quite there with the injury not letting me workout. Will aim to tighten the diet at least so I can finish off the last couple of weeks well.
Breakfast carbs have been stripped and feel weird eating eggs without the delivery tool of a piece of toast. The tomatoes and avocados are even worse. All the cooking shows (that my wife watches) say you need a bit of crunch and different textures to make a meal great. Just doesn’t seem right.
