Last few days have been kinda bad - have been swamped with work and have been getting these insanely painful headaches along with nausea. Not sure what it is, this is the 5th day that I am having a pounding headache and nausea which doesnt get better with regular OTC medicines. I haven’t worked out since Saturday which disappointed me but I did go today. I feel bad that I missed so many days of workout but I managed to stick to the diet. What added to my frustration was the additional 3 lbs that I saw on the scale between last week and today. Hoping that I feel better soon and can resume workouts effectively! Apologies for not being as active as I should have been!
This week was decent - good workouts and been sticking to the diet. One thing that I ve observed is that post the indulgence, I start craving junk/fast food or desserts a lot. It happened after indulgence 1 as well. Trying hard to suppress my cravings. Really nervous about the next week - just 100g of carbs a day!? Wow! Don’t know how energetic will I feel but looking forward to it!
I have been doing fine with the workout and diet but this week I have noticed that I am getting sick of eating roasted and steamed veggies. :( I checked out the recipes portion as well but most things were just roasted or steamed veggies in some or the other way.
Curious to know how do you all make the veggies portion of your meal to keep it interesting and yum? I have been eating fresh salads with vinaigrette dressing or oven roasted veggies with herbs. Any other cool suggestions? Let me know. Thanks!!
I had no idea that leaving out a quarter of your meal could hurt this much! Like if you dont serve the quarter (you're going to leave out eventually) on your plate, it still feels better but having the quarter of your meal on your plate staring at you and you can't have it surely sucks! Haha. Guess I'll learn how to cut portions by the end of the week. Fingers crossed.
To begin with, I have not been a part of an online program of any sort ever so I surely had my apprehensions about Kenzai. I was not sure how this will work, what will I have to do, what will I have to eat, will there be someone to help me if I am confused etc. etc. Right now, all I can say is that I am done with day 1 and I already feel like I get how this is going to work. The lessons were detailed and easy to follow. Today's workout was nice and simple and the diet part seems to be bringing an interesting change as well. So day 1 was all good.
Honestly, I was so embarrassed to see my own pictures in active wear in the last 2 days but I still posted them because I feel motivated to change the way I look right now. Focusing only on my career and education probably took a toll on my health but now I want to balance my life and bring about a lifestyle change and be fitter. Hope I stay focused, motivated and inspired by all my peers here on Kenzai and am able to achieve my fitness goals!
