Made it through the first week without a problem. It was a big week with a lot of post-work events, etc...high stress, but the exercise helped keep me balanced and feeling good as did watching what I threw down my pie hole.
I was unaware I was signing up for no alcohol for 50+ days. That will only be difficult when I am at large, social gatherings in the evenings because I have Hopnophobia (fear of no hoppy beer when faced with large crowds). It's hereditary on my mom's side (she's Belgian), but alas, I digress.
Full disclosure: I have cheated a bit on some of the runs because I started training for a 10 mile run a few weeks ago. I haven't added too much mileage, but I have done a little more than the prescribed amount, especially trying to get a slightly longer run in on the weekends. Let me know if I will be shunned or shamed for such behavior.
