7 for 7

Made it through the first week without a problem. It was a big week with a lot of post-work events, etc...high stress, but the exercise helped keep me balanced and feeling good as did watching what I threw down my pie hole.

I was unaware I was signing up for no alcohol for 50+ days. That will only be difficult when I am at large, social gatherings in the evenings because I have Hopnophobia (fear of no hoppy beer when faced with large crowds). It's hereditary on my mom's side (she's Belgian), but alas, I digress.

Full disclosure: I have cheated a bit on some of the runs because I started training for a 10 mile run a few weeks ago. I haven't added too much mileage, but I have done a little more than the prescribed amount, especially trying to get a slightly longer run in on the weekends. Let me know if I will be shunned or shamed for such behavior.

Yeah Ottz! Sevey for sevey. That's the way to build the big MO. Let's keep it rolling in week 2. Just remember to keep it under 11 Welch's per day.

No booze was the biggest challenge for me by like 11 fold but I survived and I had been self medicating after days at my crappy stressful jobs for well over a decade. Just a note and trainer Ward will set you straight on this but it doesn't matter where you start with the mileage its that you increase it gradually (no more than 10% per week). Ward can dial you in for the difference between the 10k and 10 miler.

PS- Please take photos all around your house so I can see what the new digs in Ippy look like.

We set 'em up, you knock 'em down! Sander, Tuck has you sorted. You can goose the amount on the runs, just do so with an eye on a slow ramp up that ensures your body doesn't break down. Hitting those post game stretches will help to.

Is Hopnophobia contagious? I think there has been a recent outbreak in Portland, ME.
