Day 4

Program progress:
Day 2

Was much better than day 1...Chisel is hard to crush in the early morning hours. I'm looking ahead and hoping that most of my workouts can be done after work hours. There is something nice about having the workout done in the morning, but I'm feeling like this go around might be better had in the afternoons...we shall see.

Hit the workout at 5:15 this am.....and it was really hard. Glad to get going and excited to be saying "goodbye" to sweets and such for a while. Looking forward to this training cycle and psyched to be getting back into Kenzai shape! A photo of some fall fruit in Maine.

That was fun! I have to say that my body is feeling pretty beat up and I'm most certainly ready to get on my yoga mat and give my body some love! I don't know if I could have done more than 28 days of this program. Not having the rest day certainly made this a challenge. On the flip side, I'm feeling like I'm in good shape going into the summer and psyched to play outside and see how I feel on my mountain bike and in my running shoes. Pat-way to go! That was awesome. Portand crew-as always such a pleasure to train with you all and spread the Kenzai run. Teo- thanks for dealing with my 5 am wake-ups and back deck knee capers!

Now...if the sun would just come out....I would think about putting on my bathing suit!

Despite the 4:30 wake up to head to NYC, got to my workout and I'm feeling good. We're spending the weekend in NYC visiting family and had the incredible opportunity to see Hamilton yesterday. Blown away! Hope all is well with folks and I'm looking forward to the final week and wrapping up this program.

Few things on my mind

1) Fighting off a cold but don't want to use that other ticket just yet.

2) Switched up the cardio this weekend and took some nice runs with the dogs- felt good to give the rope a rest.

3) The sun came out yesterday! It was the first time in several weeks!

4) I can't see a scenario where I will be putting on a bathing suit anytime soon. #SpringinMaineSucks

5) Feeling good to be at the halfway point-this program is super hard; especially with no rest day.

Yeah, I used that ticket today and it felt real good! Back at it tomorrow.

Why?

Well...I was inspired to do this because Ward and Belinda were on board. Always interested in new programs and curious about this one! Helps to have the Portland crew rocking the Kenzai programs as well. Most are on Chisel right now, so it's all about solidarity at this point!

Legs...anyone?

Man......feeling those quads this morning! Looking forward to locking in the diet. I have really enjoyed indulging over the past two weeks, but I have to say that I do not feel as good as I do when I'm eating clean. Here we go!

Day 1

Woke up feeling terrible this morning. I finished chisel a week ago and had one week of free range eating and letting the body recover from the workout. I think that by the end of the day on Sunday, my body was asking me "what had I done to it the past week". I was able to get the workout done this afternoon which felt good. My left shoulder is bugging me so I'm going to have to be careful with some of these pushup and arm bearing exercises. Nice to see that we can break up the workouts and cardio. I foresee needing to do that a few days. Looking forward to another training cycle.

So great to finish the program again. I think that it still remains my favorite. I'm looking forward to some more time outside and getting some running back in the mix. Hopefully spring will come soon in Maine. The sun is shining today and I'm done, so onward! Great training with you all and hope to see you on the blogs in the near future. I'm still going to be getting up early in the morning, but going to enjoy some nice long morning walks with the dogs for a change. Matt-thanks for all your encouragement and support. Patrick- way to go. Love this program.....looking forward to a possible part 2!

Exhaustion

Well...I am gassed. Working hard to get as much sleep as possible and crush these last workouts. I'm on track to finish strong, but I am tired. Does not help that we have not seen the sun since coming back to Maine......

Rolled back into town last night after an incredible trip. I was really glad to get all but two workouts in and be pretty on point with the diet. I most certainly got my fruit intake! Looking forward to this last week. Looks like the snow is gone and although I will miss the tropical weather, it's nice to think that I won't have to toss on a hat and jacket to workout this last week...I hope!

Short and sweet...traveling with the family in Costa Rica. Hitting my workouts in the heat and feeling good. This weekly photo is for Sharmali! Hope everyone is well and I'll try to catch up with the team next week. When you forget your bands...rocks will do!
